Dub nad Moravou - school trip of 6th grade.

Petra, Lenka, Terka and Katka, Czech students participating in Swedish project meeting, are students from the 6th grade. Their class trip on June 19 was really funny and exciting !

We went by bus - say the girls - to South Moravia, about 70 km far. First, we stayed near the town of Strážnice at an old chalet with sheep and goat. There were funny tight-rope activities and some of us fell in the pond , ughhhhhhhhhh.........

Then we went to a high out-look tower and watched the beautiful mountains around. After lunch we went to a museum in the open air called archeological outdoor museum here. They showed us the life in our country in 9th century and we tried many activities on our own. It was great!

Finally, we saw a very old stone from the time of Celts who lived here, there are many old letters and signs on this stone.
We got home tired but happy.

Aerobic competition in Dub nad Moravou

Tuesday 24th June was a big day in our school - the popular aerobic competition has been organized for the 4th time and students from 7 schools in our region came to take part. The number of participants was over 100 and the jury had a very difficult task , because the level of students´ aerobic proficiency is getting higher and higher year after year.

Also the parents watching their competing children were so excited that a father from the audience jumped on the parquet and started taking exercises. So, will we have a special category for parents next year???

Winners of the middle category. Here, the jury had the most difficult work because of the very high level of all the participants. Girls were from grades 4th to 6th.

Winners of the oldest category with the only male participant, Martin, who won the 3rd place! In this category students from 7th to 9th grades could take part.

Winners of the youngest category , grades 1st to 3rd. This category was the most numerous, nearly 60 competitors !

On Monday June 23, 2008, students from 6th grade and their teacher Ms.Buchtová took part in a very special , long and interesting lesson on playing African drums and other ethnic musical instruments. We found out that everybody can make music without any theory and all of us really enjoyed this musical appointment!

This instrument is called a rain rod and people in Africa play it to wish on the rain. After hot and dry days we really succeeded in it and the rain came :) !

Thank you for your wonderful present. We are going to teach to our colleagues how to play kubb. We hope to play the game and win in Dub nad Moravou!

Goodbye Sweden!

Ostatni szwedzki poranek. Wstałyśmy o 4:30 rano. Zjadłyśmy śniadanie. Atmosfera była smutna. Pozapinałam plecak, wzięłam torbę z prowiantem i pojechaliśmy na lotnisko. Po drodze nie rozmawialiśmy za dużo. Kiedy przyjechaliśmy na miejsce, panie nauczycielki właśnie wynosiły swoje rzeczy z samochodu pani Elneus. Na lotnisku już byli wszyscy. Pożegnaliśmy się i nadszedł czas na krótką odprawę i do samolotu. Podróż powrotna minęła szybko. Ani się obejrzałam a już byliśmy pod naszą szkołą w Jastrzębiu, skąd odebrali nas rodzice.

Ten wyjazd bardzo wiele mnie nauczył, dostarczył niezapomnianych wrażeń. Mam nadzieję również na trwałe przyjaźnie.

The Kingdom of Crystal - Orrefors

Jeśli połączycie hutę szkła ze sztuką, to znajdziecie się w Kryształowym Królestwie. A gdzie królestwo, tam są i turyści. Glasriket, ze swymi najstarszymi w Szwecji hutami szkła, przyciąga najlepszych projektantów i artystów, którzy tutaj zakładają swoje studia i galerie. Turyści mogą nie tylko kupować pamiątki, ale brać udział w warsztatach.

If you combine glassworks and art, you will come to the Kingdom of Crystal. And where there is a kingdom, there are tourists, too. Glasriket, with the oldest glassworks in Sweden, attracts craftsmen, designers and artists who open their studios and galleries here. Tourists can not only buy some souvenirs but also take part in workshops.

Hotels, houses

While Polish students were staying with the Swedish families, their teachers were staying in hotels: the Möre in Söderåkra and the Svanen in Kalmar. The first one was more prestigious as it has a swimming pool and golf course. However, our working day started at 6:30a.m. and finished at 10p.m when the hotel is closed. We were too busy and too tired to relax so we could only get a glimpse of a 25 metre-heated pool. The Svanen is situated in the charming surroundings; the town center is within walking distance. Nevertheless, there is no comparison between both hotels and the hospitality of our Swedish teacher-colleagues and their husbands when we were invited to their beautiful cozy houses. Memories of the evenings which we spent there will enrich truly our cultural experience.

Zasadą wymiany programu Comenius jest, że będąc zagranicą, uczniowie przebywają w domach swoich rówieśników, a nauczyciele zatrzymują się w hotelu. Podczas pobytu w Szwecji nauczycielki mieszkały w hotelu Möre w miejscowości Söderåkra i w Svanen w Kalmar. Pierwszy z hoteli był o wyższym standardzie, ponieważ posiadał basen i pole golfowe. Jednakże nasz dzień pracy zaczynał się o 6:30 a kończył o 22, kiedy zamykano hotel. Byłyśmy zbyt zajęte i zbyt zmęczone, więc mogłyśmy jedynie rzucić okiem w przelocie na 25-metrowy, podgrzewany basen. Natomiast hotel Svanen jest położony w prześlicznym otoczeniu; spacerkiem można dojść do centrum miasta. Mimo, że byłyśmy zadowolone z hoteli, nie mogły one równać się z gościnnością naszych szwedzkim koleżanek i ich mężów, kiedy zostałyśmy zaproszone do czarujących i przytulnych domów. Wspomnienia wieczorów, które tam spędziłyśmy, rzeczywiście wzbogacą nasze doświadczenie kulturowe.

Niedziela

Kolejny i niestety ostatni dzień w Szwecji. Rano zjadłam typowe szwedzkie śniadanie z meatballs. Ostatni dzień był przeznaczony na spędzenie go z rodzinami, dlatego rodzina Axellonów zabrała mnie do Karlskorony, XVI-wiecznej miejscowości na południu Szwecji. Wszystkie domy były brązowe z białymi rogami. Pokazali mi też kościół protestancki. Na podłodze były wyryte słowa po staroszwedzku. Ciekawostką był mur z czasów wojen szwedzko-duńskich, który otaczał całe miasto. Po południu wróciliśmy do Torsås. Resztę dnia spędziliśmy razem z Julią, Pauliną i Alexjndro oraz polskimi uczniami na grillu.
