In Sweden we often eat meatballs with potatoes. “Dumplings filled with pork” (a very, very, very special dish here in Sweden). It’s so delicious to eat it. We often serve it with lingonberry and cream.On Thursdays there is a special soup day in our school. We often have vegetables soup but also minced meat soup. We have pea soup too and pancakes as a side dish. We have another day ²the Waffles day². Waffles taste good, better than pancakes I think. You can make waffles very fast. You need milk, flour, water and butter. You need a special machine, called waffle iron (“Våffeljärn” in Swedish). And you serve the waffles with lingonberry and cream. Mhmmmmmm, nice. This food is famous in Sweden since the 17th century.

In Poland we have a similar word WAFEL -sing.- WAFLE - pl. The ones which we can see in your picture we call GOFRY. Wafle or gofry - still they look, smell and taste delicious!

Hello! I got hungry when watching this photo....We also make GOFRY here, usually with whipped cream.
